“Can it be really be true that God is always delighting in me?”
“Surely He doesn’t look at me with delight. You don’t know what I did just this morning?”
“Maybe when I get to heaven, then He will be delighted with me, but not this side of heaven”.
“I know if I could stop sinning, then He would take delight in me.”

If we agree God cannot lie (see Titus 1:2) and we believe His word is true, then, look at these passages of scripture. I don’t think you will be able to declare, “He is not delighted with me”.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior, who saves, He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
“The Lord takes delight in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.” Psalms 147:11
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:16)
So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:7)
If God did not delight in you, these passages would not be true. Oh, but they are true. These passages will cause you to “Live Lighter Today”
QUESTION OF THE DAY
Will you consider that God delights in you and write out some of your thoughts about Him delighting in you?
